HOW TO GET A FLAT STOMACH

IMG_4779

Listen closely – you are about learn how to get a flat stomach and take your waistline from a 32″ to a 24″ in one week!

You really want to know how for get a flat stomach in one week though?

All you have to do is order one of those “Flat Tummy Tea” from a social media fitness model! ?? JUST KIDDING! Seriously, PLEASE DON’T!

“If it sounds too good to be true, then it ain’t true”.

Sorry.

Hate to let you down, but it doesn’t work that way. Certain teas, like ginger-green tea can help detox your system.

By flushing out the toxins in your body, and regulating your bowel movement, yes, you will appear less bloated.

If your stomach is not flat or tight, it is because you’ve accumulated body fat and it has become more and more noticeable over time.

Therefore, you must work on loosing body fat by burning calories.

What you put inside of your body can nourish your body, give it proper nutrients, or sit there as empty calories.

Empty calories are foods that contain high calories with no nutritional value or vitamins.

For example; these are the snacks, deserts or drinks that “taste good”.

Challenge yourself. Minimize your intake on what’s not good for you. No, you don’t have to quit cold-turkey like I did.

Just eat it in moderation. As your body adjusts, then you can slowly let go.

I can’t lie – my weakness is cake. Cupcake, pound cake, birthday cake, brownie cake, bundt cake, sliced cake, icing on the cake… you say “cake”, and I am all in!

I really thought it was going to be very hard for me to fight the temptation, but I am doing well.

I can actually walk by cake and say no to it. The only time my body craves cake is a week before my cycle starts.

I now just eat a piece of dark chocolate to satisfy my sweet craving.

It wasn’t easy at first – but the hardest part was getting started.

I set a goal for myself and achieved it with discipline.  You can do it too! The collages photo below were my results within 8 months.

I know you’re thinking that’s a long time.

But if you never get started, when will it ever happen?!

Body fat will keep collecting in places you don’t want. So if you keep putting it off, you’ll become even more discouraged.

Put MIND over MATTER and just do it.

It doesn’t matter what your body type is – or if we have the same body shape. My husband and I used the same method and check out his results.

Getting a flat stomach in a week is humanly impossible. You’ve got to put in the work to see the results.

But over time with consistency – you will definitely have a flat stomach.

 WAYS TO FLATTEN YOUR STOMACH

Start off by recording what you eat daily and track your calorie intake.

(If you seriously want to see results)

There are several fitness apps out there that can help you out also. I used MyFitnessPal.

Keep in mind that every 3,500 calories = 1 lb. of body fat.

Let’s say you burn 700 calories per week, it will take you 5 weeks to lose 1 lb.

(You can lose more by doing cardio)

10 WAYS TO HELP YOU FLATTEN YOUR STOMACH

1. Calculate your daily caloric maintenance. (There is a caloric maintenance calculator on Bodybuilding.com)

2. Stay in the caloric deficit of 200 per day

(consult your healthcare physician)

3. Change your eating habits and eat strictly whole, unprocessed foods.

Choose healthy and low in calories.

4. No liquids other than water.

(At least 8 glasses a day)

5. Give up refined sugar.

(Empty calories that store fat)

6. Eat carbs.

(Sweet potatoes and white potatoes)

7. Season meals with natural veggies and natural herbs.

8. No salt.

(Salt turns into sodium, which retains water and causes bloating)

9. Throw away the “bad stuff” in your pantry and fidge like we did, to avoid setting yourself up for failure.

in our fridge

10. Meal preparation.

(This way you won’t make excuses)

Jeremy and I took these exact 10 steps and started noticing results within the first couple of weeks. Consistency is key.

Whatever you choose to do, we wish you the best! Just know we are not dieticians, nutritionists, personsl trainers in no way, shape or form.

You requested tips, we only shared our experience with hopes to encourage you to do whatever makes you feel better about yourself .

Happy Flat Tummy Journey!

Good Morning Sarah. Great advice. I am such a foodie. Not that I use a lot, but how did you get away from salt? Also, I planned to do cardio in the evenings. With just a one parent household, I find it challenging to have food ready, homework done and enough time to workout, baths and bedtime—-whew I got tired just thinkin about it ?. Any suggestions for kid prep, let me know. My kids eat pretty healthy I even have them drinking smoothies with kale and spinach. I call it “lettuce” ?
