Do you really want to know how I keep a size 24 waistline with 3 kids?! It’s no big secret.



Most people don’t put much thought into what they eat. They are the ones who eat to live. And you have those who “live to eat.” (Me in my past life) Don’t get me wrong, I am a true foodie,  but I am more  interested in understanding the nutritional benefits of what goes inside my body.

You can call me trendy, weird, hipster, whatever. Blame it on my mom for educating me on the health benefits and nutritional value of every meal she fed me. She was always against canned goods, processed food, and fast food restaurants. (Why didn’t I listen to her back then?!?!)

Mom’s home-cooked meals were always fresh, organic veggies and fresh meat. Even if the veggies were nasty to most people, I was happy to eat it because I knew it was good for my health. Who wouldn’t want to live a long and healthy life, right? I know I wouldn’t want to purposely damage my organs, by poisoning it with bacon and hot dogs.  (Sorry to offend you if this is part of your daily diet.) I’m trying to help you understand how a mom of 3 has a hot body without taking diet pills and working her ass off at the gym.

I am with you 100%, I love the taste of good food too. But after all of the GMO studies, not sure if I am willing to sacrifice several years of my life risking cancer and other long-term health conditions.

I’ve completely stopped eating red meat, canned, fried and processed foods. I’m not a big fan of artificial preservatives. Especially now, knowing that it is harmful to my health. We can’t control how restaurants  prepare their food, and it’s relaxing for someone else to cook for once. So fine dining is not completely out of the equation yet.

I honestly do try my best to avoid fast food. But if I must… I’d only eat at Panera Bread, or a  ChicFiLa.  Based on recent studies, these places invest in premium quality meat without antibiotics. Again, these are my top choices but you will most likely not find me eating “fast food”.

I fear of not knowing exactly what I am putting into my body!  “Food snob much?” Neh.. I’m just a mom setting a healthy lifestyle example for my children, that’s all.

My hubby and I could never make time for the gym.  So the best thing we could ever do for ourselves was to at least eat right.  I’m sure you’ve heard many people talking about “eating clean”. Well, that’s us. We decided to get rid of everything in our fridge and pantry that was packaged and processed. Including cereal. Of course we left quinoa, rice, oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and peanut butter. Those are a little harder to produce in your own kitchen:) We even got rid of cereal. In our opinion, as we read the labels on the box, it was just fueling our kids up with no nutritional value and overloading them with sugar. I’d rather boil them some eggs and slice up avocados.

Home-cooked meals require extra time to prepare. Some of us barely have time to even sit down and eat. I get it. America is all about the “convenience”. I know, we have been spoiled.  But trust me, what comes easy is not always the best for your health. You’ve got to work hard for the best.

It takes me no more than 10 minutes to prepare a wholesome breakfast for my family. And 15 minutes to eat it. Same for lunch and dinner. You can even set aside time to meal prep for lunch and dinner. Only 35 minutes to maybe an hour a day to live a healthy life.

This prevents unnecessary doctor visits for our family. Because being sick is awful. It drains you for several days, you pay doctor bills, and request sick days from work. Not to mention, I hate being out of commission as a mom! Dads CAN NOT do what we do, moms! Even worse on our kids, once one child is infected, it goes viral around the house. So moms, we need to build our families’ immune system to strongly defeat this nasty bacteria!

Did you know that “you are what you eat”? If you keep eating junk, than that “junk” is going straight to your trunk! ? And I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have a Kim Khardasian ass, I’m just saying… that ass is not going to look like her’s in a few years once all of the sugar starts to store fat, and that fat turns into celullite.?

Start getting rid of all of the processed food that you own. Go for whole foods. Processed foods not only deposit empty calories in your body, they contain so much sodium (which retains water and makes it harder to lose fat) and imitation sweeteners that will starve you so you’ll end up overeating. You know what overeating does? It adds more calories to your diet. Calories add up, your body stores fat, and you add on pounds.

So watch what you eat! This is the only way you can maintain your weight without having to work so hard in the gym.

As moms, we must be proactive. Meal prep for your family.  Your body needs protein such as chicken breast, salmon, and beans. Include a side of green vegetables. Alternate them daily if you want. Add a carb, or fruit.

I have noticed that not only my body looks and feels great, I can think clearer, my whole family is healthier, and this is enough proof to share with the world!
